2024 Inductees
Jen Consaul - Class of 2010
Jen was a 2-sport athlete playing basketball and softball. Her softball career places her as one of the top pitchers in Section V history. She pitched 2 no-hitters in 2009 and 4 no-hitters in 2010, including 1 perfect game. This is still a school record for most no-hitters in one season and in a career. She also pitched numerous 1 and 2 hitters. She holds our school record for most strikeouts in one game with 19, and is 2nd all-time for most strikeouts in one game with 18. During her senior year, she recorded a 0.66 ERA with 246 strikeouts which are both very likely still school records today for one season. She was named 1st team All-County for 3 years, 1st team All Greater Rochester for 2 years, and 4th team Class AA All-State in 2010. She was also a great hitter with a batting average of .403 as a junior and .460 in her senior year. She was named the team’s co-MVP in 2008, and MVP in 2009 and 2010. After graduation, she went on to pitch at Canisius College where she appeared in a school record 126 career games, set several other records including 33 complete games in one season, 637.2 career innings pitched, 17 wins in one season, and received numerous additional accolades, including MAAC Rookie of the Week, Preseason All-MAAC, Capital One Academic All-District 1st team, and 2nd team All-MAAC. After her playing career she became an assistant softball coach at Canisius and the team won the MAAC regular season title. She then became an assistant softball coach at UNC Charlotte for 3 years. In 2019, she joined the Army West Point softball coaching staff as an assistant. In 2022, she was named interim head coach, and then in 2023, she was named the full-time head coach.
Jack Flowers - Special Contributor
Jack was our varsity boys basketball coach from 1985-1989 and was our Athletic Director from 1987 until he retired in 1994. He was well respected by all members of the school community for being a respectful hard working man who greatly cared for others. He is remembered for being friendly and kind to all while striving to form positive relationships with everyone he came in contact with. Our 1989 boys basketball team, led by Flowers was awarded the coveted Thomas Emmanual Sportsmanship award for Monroe County. This award is voted on by the basketball officials to the team who best exemplifies the highest degree of sportsmanship in its players, coaches and spectators. He was instrumental in forming the school’s academic eligibility policy and helping launch the 1st football team in school history. He was also a big proponent of athletes performing weight training and cross training techniques which was well ahead of his time. All of this led to an award begin given out in his memory for several years. Prior to working at Churchville-Chili, he was a highly successful coach in many different sports around Section V. He won 3 Section V titles at 3 different schools while coaching boys’ basketball at Pavilion, Batavia Notre Dame, and Romulus. He also coached men’s basketball at Hobart College from 1973 until 1981. He was inducted into the Batavia Notre Dame Athletic Hall of Fame in 1993.
Scott Horsington - Class of 2003
Scott is one of the top divers in Section V history. He was the 1st diver in school history to win sectionals and to go to the NY state finals. He was the Section V Class B diving champion in 2001 and 2002 as well as a 2-time top 10 finisher in the NY state finals. He nearly won a 3rd Section V title finishing in 2nd in 2003. To date, he is one of only two male divers in our school history to win a Section V title. He was named 1st team All-County for 3 consecutive years and helped lead our only 2 boys swimming teams in school history to win division titles in 2000 and 2002. He held all of our school records in diving for both 6 and 11 dives upon graduation. This inductee went on to dive at SUNY Fredonia where he became a 3-time SUNYAC champion and 3-time NCAA All-American. As only a freshman at Fredonia in 2004, he went 22-0 and won the SUNYAC title in both the 1 meter and 3 meter competitions. He also won SUNYAC's Dr. Sam Molnar Award as the top male scholar-athlete in all sports. After his college career, he went on to coach diving here at Churchville-Chili, and then at SUNY Brockport where he is still coaching today. During his coaching career thus far he has been awarded SUNYAC Women’s Diving Coach of the Year twice. He was also inducted into the SUNY Fredonia Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.
George M. Parry - Class of 1963
George was an outstanding 3-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and baseball. As our soccer goalie, he had 6 shutouts in 1962 and 9 career shutouts. Both of these were school records for one season and a career at that time. As one of the top players in our area, this man was named as a 1962 Class B All-County selection in soccer. On the basketball court, he led the Monroe County A basketball league in scoring in the 1962-63 season with 372 points which was a school record at that time for most points in a season. His scoring average of 19.58 points per game in that season was also a school record. Over his basketball career, he averaged 15.43 points per game which was also a school record. He was awarded as a Class A 1st team All-County selection in basketball in 1963. Only 5 athletes made 1st team All-County in all of Class A during that time period. On the baseball field, he was mainly a catcher but played any position the team needed including pitcher, where he recorded several complete game wins his senior year. He was also one of our top hitters throughout his baseball career. He culminated his high school career by being awarded Churchville-Chili Athlete of the Year in 1963. After graduation, George went to University of Buffalo and then entered the Air Force and volunteered to go to the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oakleaf Clusters for participating in over 140 in-country aero medical evacuation missions.
Katie Voorheis Potter - Class of 2024
Katie was a 3-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and softball. She was a leading member of 4 teams that won a Section V title. Teams she was on won a Section V title in every sport including 2 out of 3 in her senior year. As our soccer goalie, she helped lead our team to win the division title in 2003 and the Section V title in 2002 and 2003. She recorded 12 shutouts as goalie in 2002 and also in 2003 which is still a school record today for one season and for a career. Her 24 career shutouts is also still a school record. In the 2003 soccer season, opponents only scored 5 goals over the whole season with this inductee in the net. On the basketball court, she was a leading member of our team that won the Section V title in 2002, and was named 1st team All-County in basketball in 2003. She was very tough under the boards accumulating 444 career rebounds. In softball, she was the leading hitter with a .410 batting average, 32 hits, 20 runs, and 11 stolen bases on our 2004 softball team that won the Section V title. This is the only softball team in school history to have won a Section V title. She was also named 1st team All-County in softball in 2004 and was awarded as the Churchville-Chili Female Athlete of the Year in 2004. She joins her grandfather Bernie Voorheis in our Hall of Fame.
